University Ranking

Birmingham City University is based in West Midlands, UK that gained university status in 1992. The university has improved its position in the world university ranking from THE. Last year, it was placed between 801-1000 by Times Higher Education, however, this year it has improved its position to 601-800. This is a significant improvement as the university must have improved on its teaching, research, and citations, the major parameters for deriving THE's world university ranking. Birmingham City has been ranked between 801-1000 in 2020 and 2021 by QS' (Top universities) world university ranking. 

While looking at the Birmingham City University's ranking within the UK, we can see that it is quite popular in the UK. The Complete University Guide and The Guardian have placed it within the best 100 universities in the UK since 2017 and 2019 respectively. Birmingham City has improved its ranking in The Complete University Guide university ranking from 95th in 2017 to 84th in 2021. Similarly, The Guardian has moved it higher in its university ranking from 105th position in 2017 to 83rd in 2021. 

It signifies that the university has improved its performance in entry standards, student-staff ratio, career prospects, and value-added services, which are the major parameters for The Guardian's university ranking.
